Easter Bunny at Birr CastleJoin the Easter Bunny this Easter at Birr Castle Demesne when families can take part in an amazing EASTER EGG HUNT as well as enjoying PLANT, FOOD AND CRAFT MARKET featuring local vendors of fine foods and crafts. Children will follow a trail to find special characters including Alice, Mad Hatter, Peppa Pig and a giant Easter Chick. There will be face painting fun too! Please note that the Plant, Food and Craft Market will take place in our courtyard and access to this area is free. Click here for more info!


Destination Birr

birr_castle.jpgBirr Town in Co Offaly is a beautiful Heritage Town situated on the River Camcor.

Birr is a beautiful old town that is full of history and is a virtually intact 18th/19th century town, with its magnificent buildings and wide streets, a large number of the houses in Oxmantown Mall and Johns Place have wonderful fanlight windows from the Georgian period and tree lined avenues.

Less then ten minutes from the centre of the town are the amazing Slievebloom Mountains that are home to a number of different walks and trails for people of all ages to take, each year there is a walking festival held where people come from near and far to join in with the local festive events.
