Brambles Café in Birr Town is indisputably the best place in town to enjoy a really well made cup of coffee and some excellent home baked produce. Gillian Delahunt owns and runs the quaint café, Gillian makes and sells her very own soda bread, carrot cakes, scones, chocolate biscuit cake and other sweet treats along with deep filled pies and home made soup, which have the locals coming back for more each day.

Brambles is also well known for the sale of their very own organic butterleaf lettuce and organic ducks eggs which comes from Gillians family farm, she also sells a wide range of quality local produce, including Mossfield farm cheese, Williams' Bakery breads, and a choice of home made chutneys and jams.

The Café is open 7 days a week and has a cozy comfortable atmosphere to it.

Dooly’s Coffee Shop is open from 8.30 am; the coffee shop serves everything from a mixed grill, Dinners, sandwiches, soup and home made scones, to a cup of coffee or tea. It has a warm friendly atmosphere with pine furniture giving it an elegant country feeling. The Café is situated at the top of Main Street in Birr and is a perfect location for a quick bite.

The Café is located at the entrance to Birr Castle Demesne in the restored stable block of the castle. The atmosphere is relaxing and visitors are guaranteed a warm welcome from the friendly staff. he Café will reopen for the 2012 season on Saturday 17th March and will open daily between 10.00hrs and 17.30hrs. Serving a selection of freshly prepared homemade food including soups, sandwiches, paninis, lasagne, cakes, pastries and more. Access to the Courtyard Café is free.
