Brambers Art studio is located in Shinrone about ten minutes outside Birr, the studio is open to the public and all are welcome to view the array of paintings and crafts. The Studio is run by artist Hazel Greene. Hazel is known for her work that flows from her powerful sense of colour, Hazels silk paintings combine the soft delicacy of the textile with the liveliness of the colours, while her canvases are also bursting with bright and colourful energy. Bramber Studio also has a gift shop that offers an extensive range of selected prints, original paintings and cards, as well as products such as original hand painted silk scarves, tableware and wall hangings. Purcell Auctioneers has been in business for over 38 years in the Birr Town area. The Business was started by Michael Purcell in 1970, but is now being run by his sons Paul and Conor both of whom are members of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuer’s. The Auctions are held at their Auction Rooms at Green Street in the centre of the Georgian Town of Birr, Co. Offaly.
